His Excellency Mr. Kwasi Baah-Boakye was born on 16th August, 1950 at Asiakwa in Ghana. After obtaining a B. A. Degree in Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon, he took a Graduate Diploma in International Affairs. In September, 1980, he proceeded to the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands for a Graduate Diploma in International Relations and Development, and later, to the School for Policy Studies, University of Bristol, England, for an MSc International Policy Degree. He also has an L.L.B Degree from the University of Nairobi.
Mr. Kwasi Baah-Boakye has worked as Desk Officer, West Africa, Desk Officer, Europe and Americas, Assistant Director, Passport Officer, First Secretary (Consular and Welfare/Political) at the Ghana Embassy in Washington DC and again as First Secretary at the Embassy in Rome, Italy. He has served as Senior Assistant Secretary/ Ag. Head of Desk Evaluation and Analysis, Counsellor/Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Ghana, Bonn, Acting Head of Mission, Ghana Embassy, Bonn and Deputy Director/Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In September, 2000, he served as Minister at the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria until August 2001 when he was appointed High Commissioner to Zimbabwe with concurrent accreditation to Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi. He served in this capacity until February 2006 when he became Ghana's Ambassador to Angola.
His interests are International Politics, Currents Affairs, Jazz and Classical Music and Sports.
