His Excellency Mr. Samuel Kofi Dadey has been in his country's diplomatic service since September 1976. Born on May 24, 1951, he attended the University of Ghana and graduated with an Honours Degree in English and Modern History in 1975. He also holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from Harvard University, a post-graduate diploma in International Relations from the University of Ghana, and a Certificate in Advanced Diplomacy from the Pakistan Foreign Service Training Institute.
He was a Fellow of the Edward S. Mason Programme for Public Policy and Management in Developing Countries, and the Hubert H. Humphrey Programme in Public Policy administered by the Harvard Institute for International Development (HIID), and by the Institute of International Education (IIE).
Mr. S. K. Dadey has served as a Supervising Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with supervisory authority over three Bureaux of the Ministry, namely the Policy Planning and Research Bureau, the Information, Culture and Linguistics Bureau, and the Inspectorate and Audit Bureau. Prior to this, he served as Director of the Africa and African Union (AU) Bureau, Director of the Policy Planning and Research Bureau, and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassies of Ghana in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and Cairo, Egypt.
He is married with three children and has as his main hobbies golf, walking and jogging.
