Mrs. Ellen Nee-Whang joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and NEPAD in 1974, a year after graduation from the University of Ghana. Since then, she has served in various positions in the Ministry, working on both bi-lateral and multi-lateral issues in respect of Ghana's Foreign Policy. These include subjects pertaining to trade, economics, environment, disarmament and industrial relations.
She has also served in Ghana's Missions in Liberia and Geneva and was appointed Ghana's High Commissioner in 2000, with concurrent accreditation to Mauritius, Seychelles, Swaziland, Lesotho, Madagascar and Comoros. She is married with three children.
