Profile of His Excellency
Mr. Charles Agyei-Amoama, Ghana’s Ambassador To Italy


His Excellency Charles Agyei-Amoama was born on 8th February, 1947 at Mampong, Ashanti. He attended Kumasi Polytechnic for three years after which he entered the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to study Mechanical Engineering.

He has over thirty years of in-depth technical and people management skills in the areas of engineering, politics, organization and community development. He has worked as Mechanical Engineer - Kumasi Brewery Limited, Power Engineer - Physical Plant/Energy Management, Corporate Engineer - Work Wear Corporation and Chief Engineer - Facilities Management, Canada.

His Excellency Charles Agyei-Amoama has served as Multicultural Director, Liberal Party of Manitoba, Chairman of North American NPP and Chairman of FOJAK - Canada. He organized the first Provincial African Conference as President of the African Association of Manitoba and also established the first ever African Centre in Winnipeg, Canada.

Additionally, he organized a National Conference and Workshop for the Ghanaian Community in Canada as President of the Ghanaian Union of Manitoba and was a member of the Steering Committee to facilitate Academic Success of Black Children in Canada.

He is married with three children and enjoys playing soccer, table tennis, field hockey and listening to music.
